The Guthrie Planning Commission will hold a public hearing next Thursday, May 7th, at 6:00 PM, at Guthrie City Hall to consider a comprehensive amendment to the city’s zoning code.
According to the meeting agenda, the proposed amendment, identified as GZTA26-5-1, aims to establish new standards for the placement of manufactured homes and single-family housing while ensuring local terminology aligns with state law. The proposal includes the introduction of compatibility standards for all new single-family dwellings.
It replaces existing regulations for manufactured home subdivisions with a new section focused on manufactured home park districts.
Additionally, the commission plans to update nonconformity provisions and make various technical corrections across several sections of the Guthrie Zoning Ordinance.
Chair David England will preside over the meeting, which follows the commission’s initial resolution to modernize these residential development standards.
