The Todd County School District recently awarded Amanda Jordan on the Board of Education at its first annual Team Todd County Celebration Dinner.
Jordan, the board’s administrative assistant, was awarded $250 for the Heartbeat of Todd County Schools Award, sponsored by United Southern Bank. The district shared that this award celebrates a staff member who consistently goes the extra mile and keeps everything moving behind the scenes.
Assistant Superintendent Kenneth Anderson said Jordan keeps the district grounded, moving and smiling even on the busiest days.
“She is the calm in the chaos, a voice of quiet reassurance and the quiet force behind our work,” Anderson added. “Her kindness sets the tone, her dedication strengthens our district, and her heart reminds us why we do what we do.”
Jordan was one of three awardees at the celebration, along with North Todd Elementary’s Sheila Woodall with the Excellence in Education Award, and Todd Middle’s George Riddick with the Legacy of Service Award.
“Each of these individuals reflect the very best of Team Todd County through their impact, service and unwavering commitment to our students, staff and community,” the district shared. “Their contributions strengthen our district and serve as a reminder of the powerful difference made when people care deeply about their work and those they serve.”
