The Rotary Club of Elkton is receiving regional support for its sixth annual auction this week.
During their Wednesday afternoon meeting, Cadiz Rotarian Beth Mann presented the Elkton club with a $500 donation on behalf of the Cadiz Rotary Club.
In addition to the monetary contribution, the Cadiz club provided various items that remained after their own 59th annual auction. Mann noted that the decision to assist Elkton was a formal gesture of gratitude for the historical support Cadiz received from the Hopkinsville Rotary Club and other organizations when they first established their auction in 1967.
Mann added there is nothing more important than education for young people.
During WEKT’s Community Broadcast on Wednesday afternoon, Mann encouraged the business community in Todd County to step up and support this year’s auction.
