Wanda Garrett, 83, of Elkton

Mrs. Wanda Fay Garrett, age 83 of Elkton, passed away at 2:15 a.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at her residence. Services will be on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY, with Rev. Don Garrett and Rev. David Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be at Latham Funeral Home on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 12:00 noon. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.

Mrs. Wanda was born May 19, 1942, in Muhlenberg County. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Agri-Chem and Garrett Sawmill. She was a member of the Elkton Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school and served on the board. She loved baking cakes and cooking all kinds of food. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Garrett; her parents, Robert Ford and Novella Lowe Ford; her son, Tom Garrett Sr.; and her daughter, Linda Darlene Monroe.

She is survived by her sons Billly Joe Garrett and his wife Christy of Elkton, Don Garrett and his wife Delana of Elkton, and David Garrett and his wife Julia of Corydon, IN, her brothers Ricky Ford of Madisonville, KY, Mike Ford of Mississippi, and John Ford of Albany, KY, her sisters Dianne Shamsabadi of Mississippi, and Amanda Winburn of Mississippi, and her son in law Mark Monroe of Elkton. 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
