The city of Elkton is just closing out on another fiscal year and Mayor Arthur Green thinks the city is in great shape.
Green says his main highlight from this past year is that the city continues to grow.
He adds Elkton is in great shape, especially in terms of infrastructure. He commends the efforts of Elkton’s sewer, water, wastewater treatment, streets and city personnel.
Green says the most visible positive growth from last year is the major updates on Elkton-Todd County Park.
This year also saw the completion of the City Hall’s renovations and many successful community events, something Green says is part of a city’s quality of life.
Elkton’s new fiscal year began at the beginning of July and Green has long term plans for how to make sure the events in town meet the needs of those who are coming, taking care of safety concerns and creating a plan that will help the city going forward.
