Todd County mothers and sons are invited to “Light Up the Night” on Mother’s Day weekend at a glow dance.
TCCHS’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and Todd County Schools’ Family Resource and Youth Service Centers (FRYSC) are teaming up to host the third annual “Light Up the Night” Mother and Son Glow Dance at TCCHS Saturday, May 10.
TCCHS Guidance Secretary Leilani Campbell says the dance is open to all ages, not just high school students, and to any women in students’ lives, not just moms.
Tickets begin at $30 for a mother with one son, $40 with two sons, and an extra $10 for every additional son. Besides dancing, the event will also feature a live DJ, photo booth and free refreshments. Campbell notes there have also been some special sweet treats in the past.
Money raised from the glow dance will be split between TCCHS’s PTO and the district’s Youth Service Centers.
Campbell requests RSVP forms and payment to be turned in by Thursday, May 1. She adds last year, the deadline was extended and the forms and payment were also accepted day-of at the door. Campbell says this will probably be the case again this year, but she would appreciate the forms turned in by the beginning of next month to get an idea of how much food is needed.
