Todd County 4-H’s Clover Club campaign is fast approaching its May 22 deadline.
The campaign aims to raise money to help send Todd County students to 4-H camp this July, with a fundraising goal of $15,000. 4-H Extension Agent Lee Ann McCuiston says the campaign kicked off at the beginning of April and features different donations categories, divided into “clover levels,” corresponding with the 4-H clover’s head, heart, hands and health.
As of Tuesday, May 14, donations to the Clover Club total almost $5,000, which is not enough to send the same number of students to camp as last year.
McCuiston says she takes roughly 140 students to camp each year and around half that number generally needs assistance. She adds it is critical for 4-H to receive community support in order for everyone to have the opportunity to attend 4-H camp and experience the magic.
The organization is also offering a sibling discount this year, with a $50 discount per sibling.
Community members, organizations and churches who wish to donate may do so through the Todd County 4-H Facebook page, check, or Venmo.
Checks should be denoted for camp donation/clover club and mailed or dropped off to:
Todd Co. 4-H
240 Pond River Road
Elkton, KY 42240
Those using Venmo can send funds to @RhondaCaughlinWerner.
