The City of Elkton is excited to announce its inaugural Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, a joyous celebration that promises to kick off the holiday season with a magical glow. Join us on Saturday, November 25th, 2023, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at the picturesque Elkton Public Square.
This festive event is designed to bring our community together and spread holiday cheer for all ages. The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be a day of merriment, with a wide range of activities and attractions for the whole family to enjoy.
Key highlights of the event include:
- Free Carriage Rides: Take a charming carriage ride around the square and soak in the holiday ambiance as you make precious memories with loved ones. Carriage Rides will begin at 5:00PM and end at 7:00PM.
- Free Photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus & Their Reindeer: Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and capture the enchanting moment with a free photo using your personal cell phone. The reindeer will be there too, ready to greet all the good little boys and girls from 3:00PM to 7:00PM.
- Musical Performances: Enjoy live musical performances that will set the stage for the grand tree lighting ceremony. Let the sweet sounds of the season warm your heart from 4:00PM to 7:00 pm.
- Sidewalk Chalk Art: The city will place sidewalk chalk all around Public Square and invite everyone to decorate our sidewalks with your own art!
- Tree Lighting: Join Elkton Mayor Arthur Green and a special guest for the official tree lighting ceremony on Public Square at 6 pm.
