Jimmy Crowder, 78, of Sharon Grove

A celebration of life for 78-year-old Jimmy Crowder, of Sharon Grove, will be from 1-3 PM Saturday, April 13, at the Todd County Funeral Home.

Survivors include:
His wife, Terri Crowder, of Sharon Grove;
Four sons, Lee Crowder (Amanda), of Paris, Tennessee, Joe Crowder (Marilyn), of Sharon Grove, Ross Crowder, of Russellville, and Robbie Crowder, of Sharon Grove;
Two stepsons, Rick Staples (Annette), of Hodgenville, and Joseph Smith (Elizabeth), of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania;
Three stepdaughters, Darlene Staples, of Russellville, Debbie Morgan, of Hopkinsville, and Riley Riley, of Middleton, Wisconsin;
21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He died Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home.

He was born August 15, 1945, in Todd County, the son of the late Coleman and Gertha Maxwell Crowder.

He was the former owner of the Crowder Grocery Store in Sharon Grove. He loved his family, gardening, fishing, and UK Basketball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Crowder (2006); one brother, Bobby Crowder and a great-grandson, Layden Michael Paul.
