An Elkton man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement after a traffic stop Thursday night.
Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Robert Morgan for a traffic violation and he fled at a high rate of speed before wrecking his vehicle on Pond River Road near Stokes Chapel Road.
He then reportedly fled on foot but was quickly apprehended. After a search of his vehicle and his belongings, he was allegedly found to have meth and marijuana.
He was arrested and charged with possession of meth second offense, first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, resisting arrest, first- and second-degree fleeing or evading police, and speeding.
