A bicyclist was flown to the hospital after a wreck on US 68 in Todd County Wednesday night.
Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say an eastbound car driven by Steven Kennedy of Hopkinsville was changing lanes for a horse and buggy when it collided with a bicycle driven by Jacob Hoover who pulled into Kennedy’s path just before 6 p.m.
The crash tore Hoover’s bike into several pieces tossing some of them hundreds of feet away.
Hoover was flown from the scene to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with severe injuries. Kennedy was not injured in the crash.
Todd County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by Fairview Fire Department, Todd County EMS, and Todd County Rescue.
