Christopher Powell, 52, of Elkton

Christopher Powell, 52, of Elkton, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

The Todd County Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the House of Prayer Church in Clifty with Rev. Ron Noffsinger and Rev. Nelson Bodes officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at the church.

Christopher was born May 10, 1973, in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of the late Joseph Powell and Karen Holley Powell.

To know Christopher was to know a man who lived for his family. A “man’s man” with a gift for storytelling, he found his greatest joy in fishing and in spending time with those he loved. He was a devoted husband, a dedicated father, and a proud grandfather who cherished each of his twelve grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Powell of Elkton; four sons, Leon Danielson (Rachel) of Westmoreland, Tennessee, Brian Barnes (Aspen) of Ashland City, Tennessee, Hayden McKnight of Elkton, and Leo Danielson, Jr. (Britney) of Clarksville, Tennessee; one daughter, Elania Kennedy (Travis) of Lewisburg; four brothers, Robert Hurt of Elkton, Keith Powell of Florida, Joey Powell of Adams, Tennessee, and Eric Williams of Ashland City, Tennessee; one sister, Rhonda Sparks of Kansas City, Missouri; and twelve grandchildren, Gracie, Chase, Emily, Sofie, Chloe, Lenix, Levi, Lake, Brynleigh, Takoa, Charlie, and Briella. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Snoop.
