Sanctuary, Inc., a non-profit organization that serves domestic violence survivors, invites the community to draw awareness to sexual assault prevention with their “Chalk the Walk” initiative.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, and the organization is hosting “Chalk the Walk” throughout the area this week. Elkton is joining Hopkinsville and Madisonville to write messages of awareness, hope and prevention throughout their respective cities.
Elkton City Hall will be chalking their sidewalk Thursday, April 23, and the City of Elkton invites the community to be part of the movement by coming by City Hall to help, or leaving an encouraging message outside their own own sidewalk.
