Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wilhite, age 79, of Sharon Grove, passed away at 9:33 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2026, at her residence. Services will be Sunday, March 29, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY with Bro. John Day and Bro. Donnie Blick officiating. Burial will follow in Gant Cemetery in Sharon Grove, KY. Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Latham Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Mary was born in Muhlenberg County, KY, May 7, 1946. She was a Licensed R.N. and retired from Western State Hospital. She was a member of Carter Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and the Kitchen Committee. She is preceded in death by her parents Omer and Katherine Rager Laster and her sisters Aline Renfro and Ellen Hurtt.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bro. Tommy Wilhite, her daughters Judy Roper and her husband Allan of Sharon Grove, Teresa Wilhite and friend Allen Salmon of Elkton, grandchildren Kyle Wilson, Brad Henning and Jimmie Lynn Rowan and great grandchildren Jake, Abby and Cade Wilson and Emery Gifford.
