Mr. Joe Lynn Altman, age 79 of Hopkinsville and formerly of Todd County, passed away 7:33 a.m., March 24, 2026, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
Services for Joe Lynn will be 12 Noon, Friday, March 27, 2026, at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Roy King officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Latham Funeral Home.
Mr. Joe Lynn was born January 2, 1947, in Louisville, KY. He was a body man for over 40 years and owned Altman's Paint Shop in Hopkinsville. He had also been employed by various Aerospace Contractors at Ft. Campbell as a Helicopter Rotor Blade Mechanic. He was U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended the House of Miracles Church in Hopkinsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Altman and Josephine Key Kessinger and his son, Andy Altman.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Margalo Altman of Hopkinsville, his son, John Altman and his wife Carolyn of Pembroke, his daughter, Aimee Eisenmenger and her husband Adam of Kingston Springs, TN, his daughter-in-law, Wendy Altman of Allegre and 4 grandchildren.
