This Saturday, the Todd Central FFA will host its second annual Agricultural Safety Day, an event designed to teach proper agricultural safety practices to farmers and community members. The event is fully organized by students and funded through the Raising Hope program.

Agricultural Safety Day will take place at Todd Central High School from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. and is open to the public. A free breakfast will be provided for all attendees, featuring doughnuts, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches catered by Billy Goat Hill. In addition to breakfast, attendees will receive a goodie basket filled with useful items such as a tape measure, safety glasses, zip ties, a water bottle, a t-shirt, and a hat.

The event is come-and-go, allowing guests to attend at their convenience throughout the morning. Safety classes will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will feature speakers from Pennyrile Electric, Todd County Grain Rescue, and a session focused on proper livestock handling.

There will also be a kid zone set up with bounce houses and a petting zoo, making it a great event for families.

Todd Central FFA advisor Shayla Berry shared that she is hoping for a strong turnout and that everyone who attends will not only enjoy themselves but also gain valuable knowledge about staying safe in agriculture.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to attend. Be sure to stop by, enjoy the activities, and learn important agricultural safety practices.
