The Rotary Club of Elkton has announced the Fourth Annual Firecracker 5K Fun Run for Todd County.
Mark your calendars – the race will be held Saturday, June 27 and registration is due Saturday, June 20.
The 5K will begin at 8 a.m. with sign-in beginning at 6:30 a.m.
All proceeds benefit Todd County Schools’ Family Resources and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) to provide new back-to-school shoes for the district’s students. Every entry sponsors one pair.
The Rotary Club’s goal this year is 200 pairs of shoes, which would require raising around $6,000. Last year’s Firecracker 5K helped bring brand new shoes and socks to over 200 Todd County children.
