Recently, two members of the Todd County 4-H Club had the opportunity to attend the Statewide 4-H Volunteer Forum in Lexington. Meredith Hampton and Jesslyn Ezell had a fun weekend and got to experience many exciting activities.
Before going to the forum event, the girls got to see Rascal Flatts live in concert at their hotel on Thursday night, February 26th.
While at the forum, members attended enrichment workshops and participated in several hands-on craft activities. Hampton and Ezell also attended an awards banquet on Friday night, where they listened to the awards ceremony and watched as Kelvin DeBerry received a Bridge Builder/Innovative Impact Award.
On Saturday, Ezell presented a slideshow for an equine workshop to the Kentucky Equine Task Force. She stated, “I enjoyed making and presenting the presentation, and I hope that other clubs will utilize it and all of its information.”
Overall, the forum event was a memorable experience for the Todd County 4-H members. The trip allowed students to learn new skills, connect with other 4-H members from across the state, and represent their club while gaining valuable experiences.
