Russellville Man Arrested On Weapons And Gun Charges

A Russellville man was arrested on several charges after a traffic stop on Pond River Road on Monday.

Elkton Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 38-year-old James Case for his license plate not being illuminated, and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

15 grams of marijuana, an open alcohol container, and a handgun were reportedly located in the vehicle.

He was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, improper registration plate, and rear license plate not illuminated.

Police were assisted by the Todd County Sheriff’s Office.
