The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell will open the new Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum on May 15, launching this year’s annual Week of the Eagles, which runs May 15–21.

The new museum is four times larger than the previous facility and features immersive, interactive exhibits for all ages. It is located outside the Fort Campbell gates at the intersection of Tiny Town Road and Fort Campbell Boulevard, making it fully accessible to the public. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for invited guests will take place at 10:30 a.m., with doors opening to the public at 1 p.m.

The museum opening marks the start of Week of the Eagles, an annual tradition honoring the legacy of the 101st Airborne Division. This year’s celebration is dedicated to Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm veterans, recognizing the 35th anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait.

Public events include the Division Run on May 15, the museum grand opening, military demonstrations by the Army Parachute Team and the 101st Airborne Division on May 16, and sporting events and unit open houses from May 18 through 21.

A full schedule is available on Fort Campbell’s website and the 101st Airborne Division’s Facebook page.
