TCCHS Students Perform in Kentucky All-State Symphonic Band

Two TCCHS band students performed in the 2026 All-State Symphonic Band this weekend in Louisville, representing Todd County Schools at the state level.

Jeremy Tomlinson and Haley Orberson were both selected to play in the flute section of the All-State Symphonic Band, with Tomlinson as third chair flute and Orberson as fifth chair. Only a select few students are chosen for All-State ensembles each year from each school, with hundreds of student musicians around the Commonwealth who audition.

The All-State band is part of the annual Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) conference, where the students spent the weekend in rehearsals with other high school musicians and conductor Rodney Dorsey of Florida State University. After four days, the conference culminated in a performance at the Kentucky Center for the Arts in downtown Louisville, on the same stage where the Louisville Orchestra performs.

TCCHS Band Director Heather DiPasquale writes All-State is one of the highest honors that a high school musician can receive in the state, and the band program is so excited these students earned this life-changing experience.
