Mr. Ray Hyams, 96 of Trenton, passed away Friday January 30 2026 at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville, KY.
Services will be Friday February 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Trenton United Methodist Church in Trenton, KY with Rev. Bill Oliver officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton, KY. Visitation will be Friday February 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton KY is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ray was born in Christian County, KY April 9, 1929. He was the owner operator of Hyams Standard Station for 22 years, Hyams Repair Shop for 28 years and a member of the Masonic Lodge for 52 years. He served as a director on the United Southern Bank Board for 27 years. Mr. Ray was a member of the Trenton United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Elizabeth Lee McClendon Hyams, his parents Robert LaFayette Hyams and Nell Jane Primm Hyams, his brothers Robert Allen Hyams and Joe Gower Hyams, his sisters Mary Frances Hyams and Marjorie Hyams Johnson.
He is survived by his daughter Linda Diann Hyams Harper and her husband Fred of Elkton, KY, his grandchildren Benjamin Davis and his wife Amy, and Felicia McIntire and her husband Bryon, his great grandchildren Jacob Berryhill, Cole Berryhill, Elijah Robinson, Ryan Davis, and Jaina Elizabeth Davis.
