
The Todd County Laity and Ministers Alliance (LAMA) hosted its 25th Martin Luther King, Jr. remembrance service Sunday afternoon.
The event drew a diverse crowd of various races and ethnicities to hear Trenton native Rev. Lisa Balboa deliver the keynote address.
A leader in the faith community, Rev. Balboa serves as Pastor for CME churches in Todd and Christian counties. She also serves as President of both the Christian County Ministerial Association and the Kentucky Council of Churches.
She told the crowd on hand that the theme for the program was “Mentoring the Dream.”
Rev. Balboa added that if there was ever a time to mentor in these troubling times, it’s now.
She shared that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s mission was all about people being treated fairly.
Rev. Balboa shared multiple examples of how everyone can step up to serve like MLK, Jr.
