Elkton’s annual Christmas Parade is coming up this weekend, and the City of Elkton is currently accepting applications for participating vehicles.
Elkton’s Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 13 at 4:30 p.m. with set-up beginning at 3 p.m. at Todd County Central High School.
Applications for participating vehicles will be accepted through Friday, Dec. 12 at 3 p.m., so interested individuals or organizations still have time to sign up to take part in the parade.
Forms can be picked up and dropped off at the Welcome Center on Elkton’s public square or online via www.elktonky.com.
No entry numbers will be assigned to vehicles, instead participants will line up as they arrive. The parade route will begin at TCCHS and take vehicles to Highway 181 North to the Public Square. From there, they will will travel to W. Main Street, left on S. Streets Avenue back to the high school, right to the Milliken Memorial Community House and straight to Todd County Middle School.
The CIty of Elkton asks those applying not to have Santa Claus in or on their entry as he is already reserved for the parade.
