The Todd County School District is celebrating significant achievements following the release of the 2024-2025 Assessment and Accountability results by the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) on Wednesday. The district secured a top-tier classification at the elementary level, demonstrating widespread academic success across several schools.

The KDE’s accountability model rates schools on a five-color scale, ranging from Red (lowest) to Blue (highest). Todd County schools earned high marks, with notable distinctions at the elementary and high school levels.

School Achievement Highlights

The district announced the following overall accountability ratings for its schools:

  • North Todd Elementary School achieved the highest possible rating, earning an overall Blue classification.

  • Todd County Central High School secured an overall Green rating for the second consecutive year.

  • South Todd Elementary School also achieved an overall Green rating this year.

  • Todd County Middle School improved its overall score by nearly 10 points and was classified as an Orange school.

Todd County Superintendent Jessica Addison praised the effort shown by students and staff. “The accountability results reflect what I see in our schools and classrooms every day: the talent of our students and the dedication of our Team TC faculty and staff,” Addison stated. “While we celebrate the progress across our schools, we remain intensely focused on helping EACH student achieve their very best.”

North Todd Elementary Principal Laura Boley attributed her school’s top Blue rating to collaborative effort. “I could not be more proud of our students, faculty, and staff at North Todd. The growth we are seeing is a direct reflection of our staff’s dedication to excellence, our students’ persistence, and the unwavering support of our families.”

Todd County Central High School Principal Lee Quarles, commenting on the high school’s second consecutive Green rating, highlighted the focus on continuous improvement. “This accomplishment reflects the dedication, hard work, and excellence of our students, teachers, and staff. It is a testament to our commitment to continuous growth and improvement.”

The district is expected to use the detailed data from the assessment results to continue strategic planning, focusing on sustaining the high performance in elementary and high schools while addressing the needs identified at the middle school level.
