WEKT’s inaugural Pink Out event has been deemed a major success.
After an effort, including four one-hour weekly broadcasts, $1,027 was raised.
All proceeds were handed over to the Pink Ribbon Network, with Ann Isom thanking everyone for the support.
Pink Ribbon’s Kathy Anderson said their group meets on the first Thursday night of each month at 5:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Hopkinsville.
The group also helps with needs like food, shelter expenses, Christmas gifts, or whatever those going through a breast cancer diagnosis need. They also hand out scholarships yearly to students in Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties.
WEKT’s Pink Out was sponsored by the Todd County Health Department, American Cafe, Happy Ice Cream and Snacks, Billy Goat Hill, Schlabach’s Bakery, and others.
If you missed any of the Todd County Pink Out events, you can join in on the annual Pink Out event in Cadiz. It will take place on Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 at 19 DJ Everett Drive.
Proceeds from that event will also be handed over to the Pink Ribbon Network.
