A retired employee of Elkton Die Casting and a 20-year veteran of Latham Funeral Home, Rodney Seay, 78, passed away at his residence last week.
Latham Funeral Home Manager and Partner Brad Shemwell told Your WEKT News Edge they hired Seay in 2005 after Elkton Die Casting shut down. During that 20-year role, Seay became known for helping out during the greatest time of need for many families.
While Seay ended his employment with Latham Funeral Home in February due to his health, Shemwell said Rodney would visit daily.
Shemwell added that Seay’s role at Latham Funeral Home changed his behavior.
Shemwell thanked the Seay family for allowing Rodney to work at Latham Funeral Home for 20 years and added that Rodney would be missed dearly.
Funeral services were held over the weekend.
