As the sun rose over the TCCHS football field on Friday, August 8th, the Class of 2026 gathered for a tradition that marks the beginning of their final year in high school: Senior Sunrise.

Starting at 5:30 a.m., seniors arrived with blankets and even a griddle, ready to watch the first light of the day together. The event symbolized a fresh start, the excitement of senior year, and the journey toward graduation.

Omar Figueroa-N, president of the senior class of 2026, expressed his gratitude to all the students who attended and helped make the morning a special occasion. A special thanks was extended to Superintendent Jessica Addison for her support and to Jerry, the school custodian, whose help in setting up made the event possible.

Students enjoyed a relaxed morning filled with laughter, photos, and shared memories. Students all showed effort in waking up early in the morning and helping to set up as well. Students helped with bringing food, creating a banner with balloons, and setting up a griddle to feed those who were ready to experience something new.

For the Class of 2026, the sunrise was more than just a view—it was the start of a year they’ll never forget.
