The Allegre Fire Department is hosting its annual spring fundraiser Saturday, June 7 at their firehouse.
The event will feature a meal, live music, bouncy houses and an auction. The organization will also be electing a new board member.
The meal will begin at 4:30 p.m. and feature barbecue and chicken plates, ice cream, pies and more. Meal tickets are $20 for all-you-can-eat and children ages five and under eat free.
Chief Steven Weaver says he is looking forward to bringing people together and adds the weather this past week was certainly a reminder of why the fire department does what it does.
He notes the money raised at the event will go toward payments on the group’s newly-built station as well as potentially a larger truck for the organization.
The fire department is currently seeking donation items for the auction as well as food, snacks and drinks. Individuals interested in donating should contact the Allegre Fire Department.
