Minimal Storm Damage Reported Tuesday In Todd County

A round of severe weather that produced several Tornado Warnings for the Pennyrile region Tuesday afternoon caused only minor damage.

In Todd County, minimal damage was reported.

Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham reported the roof peeled back on the Rogers Group building on North Main Street in Hopkinsville. Otherwise, trees and powerlines were knocked down, and there were various spots where water ponded on the roadways.

At the height of the storm, just under 400 Pennyrile Electric members were without power in Christian County, and just three members were without power in Todd County.

Areas in the Pennyrile region received around an inch of rainfall with Tuesday afternoon’s severe weather threat.
