For folks attending the TCCHS and Horizons Academy graduation ceremonies Friday, May 16, there are a few logistics they should be aware of.
Superintendent Mark Thomas welcomes anyone new to the county or those who haven’t attended many events of the school district and suggests arriving at graduation fairly early. He anticipates a lot of community members present at graduation and is very appreciative of all the wonderful community support, but notes parking and seating will be tight.
Information on parking spaces and how traffic will flow in and out of campus will presently be available on the Todd County School District’s Facebook page. A comprehensive map is currently available on the school district’s website.
Thomas notes the school district has specifically chosen not to ticket events such as graduation and anyone is welcome to attend.
He advises graduation-goers to be ready to potentially walk some distance from their parking spot to the school, and to be patient after the ceremony ends and as traffic is directed away from campus.
Horizons Academy will hold its ceremony at 5 p.m. in the TCCHS auditorium, with TCCHS’s following directly after at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium.
