Residential Zoning Change Request Coming Before Elkton Planning Commission

A public hearing for a zoning change will be held in a few weeks.

The City of Elkton Planning Commission received a request from John Laster, of Laster Mobile Home Park, LLC, to rezone 8.71 acres of land to R-3 Multi-Family Residential, a portion which includes the intersection of Jordan Avenue and West Ruth Drive. The land is currently zoned R-1 Single Family Residential, and a portion which includes property on Joiners Avenue, Lasters Avenue, Shelbys Avenue, and West Ruth Drive is zoned B-3 Highway Commercial District.

The Elkton Planning Commission will host the meeting to hear public comments regarding the request on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Elkton City Hall, 71 Public Square, at 6:00 PM.
