Nearly half of Pennyrile Electric’s members in Todd County remain without power, as of Monday morning.
Brent Gilkey, Vice President of Member Services, told Your WEKT News Edge they are dealing with over 200 individual outages, so it will take some time to get everyone fully restored.
Gilkey added the bulk of the outages came during the first round of storms Sunday, which featured wind gusts over 80 MPH in many locations, including downtown Elkton.
He said they are thankful for the members who are remaining patient during this time.
In addition to all of the Pennyrile Electric crews, Gilkey said 300 other individuals are helping to restore electricity across their entire service area.
