Primary Election Day Tuesday In Todd County

Todd County voters will have the chance to make their voices heard on Tuesday during Primary Election Day.

While some have taken advantage of early voting now offered in Kentucky, Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan said many will cast their ballots between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Tuesday.

The only options on the ballot will be the Republican and Democrat candidates for the President of the United States of America. Registered voters can only vote in the primary of the party they are registered with.

Republican voters will have the choice between Ryan Binkley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Ron DeSantis, Donald Trump, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley. However, Trump is the only candidate still actively in the race, as the others have officially dropped out but did not remove their names from the Kentucky ballot.

Democrats will have the choice between incumbent Joseph Biden, Jr., Marianne Williamson, and Dean Phillips. Biden is the only candidate to have secured the Democratic party nomination.

O’Bryan said there has been some re-districting done in Todd County since the last election cycle. Voters affected should have received a letter stating the change. If you have any questions, you can call the Todd County Clerk’s Office at (270) 265-9966 – Ext. 1.

Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams said that 75,204 Kentuckians took advantage of no-excuse early voting in this primary election, up from 72,754 in May 2023. Like last year, most early voters were Republicans.
