The Todd County Health Department announced Monday the closure of the Todd County AXIS Program, which has provided support services to local youth and families for the past five years.
Since launching in 2021, the AXIS Program served more than 1,000 children and families across the county through individual therapy, case management, and community-based programming. Health department officials noted that staff members are actively working to ensure a smooth transition for all current participants and will reach out to families individually to outline referral options, local resources, and continuing care plans.
Parents of children receiving services through AXIS are also encouraged to contact their child’s school counselor to discuss available support and continuity of care. The department reaffirmed its ongoing partnership with the Todd County School District to provide routine school health services and collaborative community health initiatives moving forward.
