The 5th annual Joey D. Wells Memorial Foundation Golf Scramble shattered several records this past weekend at the Elk Fork Country Club.
Todd County Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield shared Monday that over $36,864 was raised. Saturday’s golf scramble featured 119 golfers, a record-breaking $100 Challenge, as well as a record number of auction items.
Ralph Leavell, a DJ, provided the soundtrack for Friday night’s dinner. Leavell said that Wells became an instant friend when they met in 2015, as neighbors.
Wells passed away in 2021 at the age of 53.
The Joey D. Wells Memorial Foundation surpassed $35,000 in scholarship awards for Todd County Central High School’s athletes with the Class of 2026.
