Kentucky Primary Election Day: What Todd County Voters Need to Know

vote

Voters in Todd County are casting ballots today for the Kentucky Primary Election, with polls open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Election officials remind residents they must vote at their designated precinct. Notably, Precinct C 101-Elkton 3 has moved to the Todd Central High School Auditorium, and voters should park on the north side of the building to enter.

Kentucky’s closed primary system means voters can only cast ballots for their registered party, and any affiliation changes made after December 31, 2025, are invalid for this election. Residents who moved within the county before registration books closed must vote in their new precinct, while those who moved after the deadline must vote in their previous precinct. Voters can check their status at www.govote.ky.gov or by calling 270-265-9966 (ext. 1).

After the polls close, WEKT will have live election return coverage. Listen in beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Todd 1070 AM, 92.1 FM, WEKTradio.com, and the WEKT app.

Following the conclusion of voting, the Todd County Clerk’s Office will conduct the official Primary Election Hand-to-Eye Count. The public audit is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, at 10:00 a.m. at the Todd County Courthouse on East Washington Street.
