
The Todd County School District recently recognized Coach George Riddick with the Legacy of Service Award at the district’s first annual Team Todd County Celebration Dinner.
The award celebrates individuals in Todd County Schools whose commitment to the district and its students has stood the test of time. The district shares these individuals ‘lead through consistency, humility, and a deep dedication to serving others, quietly making a difference every day through their actions.”
Riddick is the head coach for Todd County Middle School football, girls, basketball and girls track and field. He was nominated by his peers in the school district.
Fellow staff member, Todd Middle ELA Teacher Kelli Shoemake, said Riddick is a consistent and dependable presence, always showing up with a commitment to excellence and genuine smile.
“His positive attitude is contagious,” Shoemake said. “Uplifting those around him and creating an encouraging environment each day. Through his reliability and steady optimism, he sets a meaningful example of dedication and professionalism for others to follow.”
