

Todd County Middle School students, staff, and administrators welcomed the community on Wednesday afternoon for the ribbon-cutting of the new Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation STEM Center.
TVA Community and Government Relations specialist Jana Sublett said the projects have been popping up across their seven-state service area.
Sublett added that the Todd County Middle School STEM Lab is their 43rd project of this nature.
TCMS STEAM Teacher Maggie Kulesza said her students have already been using the equipment.
Student Auston Rust added that he and his partner, Luke Wright, are making an invention for a ‘Shark Tank’ like competition.
In 2025, the Ripken Foundation impacted 1.6 million youth across 583 communities by collaborating with over 1,300 partners, providing digital mentor resources to 404,578 children, and opening 821 STEM Centers to give 334,000 students hands-on technical experience.
