A traffic stop on US 79 led to several charges for a Guthrie man on Monday night.

Guthrie Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Marcos Ramirez for his license plate showing suspended and his insurance showing unconfirmed.

During the stop, police say he showed signs of being under the influence, and they could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him.

Three children were reportedly in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

After a search of his vehicle, an open Busch light container was reportedly found, and after a field sobriety test, he was arrested and charged with DUI, no registration plates, no insurance, no operator’s license, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
