Mary Elizabeth Oldham, 89, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Franklin, KY.
Mary, the daughter of the late William Kennedy and Edna Thurston Kennedy, was born on September 8, 1936, in Todd County, KY.
Mary was a member of Phillips Chapel CME of Elkton, KY, where she served as a missionary and Stewardess. She retired from Fort Campbell, where she was employed for over 30 years in the dietary department. She then became a private sitter.
Mary was a loving mother; she enjoyed skating, feeding animals, gardening, cooking, and flowers. She was a member of the TOPS club.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings William Kennedy Jr. and Gwendolyn McCain.
Survivors include children, Pastor Gary (Sheila) Oldham and Donna (Pastor Phillip) Washington; siblings, Michael Kennedy, Doris Kennedy, Marceline Johnson, and Sheryl (Donald) Shanklin; Seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 12:00 at the Phillips Chapel CME Church in Elkton.
Burial will follow in the Elkton Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at the church on Tuesday morning at 10:00.
