Todd County 4-H is seeking teens and adults to attend the 2026 4-H Camp in a leadership capacity.
Plans for the 2026 4-H Camp are already in the works at the Todd County Extension Office, and 4-H Extension Agent Lee Ann McCuiston invites anyone interested in serving in a leadership role at camp to apply.
The 2026 West KY 4-H Camp will be held Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10 at the campgrounds in Dawson Springs, Kentucky.
4-H Teen Council members in grades ninth through 12th are eligible to serve as teen counselors, which McCuiston says is an incredible leadership opportunity.
Attendance at a Teen Counsel meeting at the 4-H office is required. Teens who are 15, 16 and 17 years of age must pay a $150 fee to attend, with 15 year olds attending as a counselor in training.
McCuiston notes she also needs adults to be cabin counselors and chaperones, investing in the 4-H youth and creating a structured, safe environment for the students.
She says 4-H Camp takes the entire community working together, and is much more than just a fun week.
Those interested in 4-H Camp leadership positions should contact the Todd County Extension Office at 270-265-5659 or stop by the Elkton office at 240 Pond River Road for more information.
