Yetter Manufacturing Acquiring Martin Industries

A Todd County agriculture company that has become a major force in no-till agriculture is being acquired by Yetter Manufacturing of Illinois.

Yetter Manufacturing Company announced early this month company officials have signed a letter of intent to complete the acquisition by the end of the first quarter of 2026. A news release from the company says this will bring together two longstanding agricultural equipment companies that share a common vision to provide solutions to support farmers in improving operational efficiency and profitability.

Martin Till was founded in 1990 by Howard Martin, with the help of his family, to manufacture row cleaners that he invented. In the early days Martin ran the operation on his farm on Allegre Road. He later built a new facility in the city limits of Elkton in 1999. In 2010 Martin purchased some adjoining property and would later build the current 48,000 square foot facility that currently employees more than 40 people.

Yetter Farm Equipment and Manufacturing has locations in Colchester and Macomb, Illinois, and Yazoo City, Mississippi. The company dates back to the 1930’s when it was founded by Harry and Etta Yetter. The company currently manufactures a variety of products including planter attachments, residue management products, fertilizer placement equipment, strip-till units, harvest equipment, toolbars, and rotary hoes.
