
Signed last Friday, Elkton Mayor Arthur Green commemorated the 50th annual Todd County FFA Tractor Day with a special proclamation.
Mayor Green shared that the National FFA Organization will celebrate FFA Week from Sunday, February 21st, to Sunday, February 28th. He added that the FFA motto, “learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live, and living to serve,” provides direction and purpose for these students who take an active role in succeeding in agriculture education.
Mayor Green said that FFA also promotes “citizenship, volunteerism, patriotism, and cooperation.”
Todd Central High School’s FFA chapter will celebrate FFA Week from Monday, February 23rd, to Sunday, March 1st. Activities will include:
- Camo Clothing and Muddy Truck Day on Monday, February 23rd
- American Apparel and Cleanest Truck Day on Tuesday, February 24th
- Vintage FFA Attire and Farm Truck Day on Wednesday, February 25th
- FFA Themed Day – wear all things Blue and Gold on Thursday, February 26th
- Redneck vs. Rodeo Dress-up Wars and the 50th annual TCCHS FFA Tractor Day on Friday, February 27th

- Church with President Meredith Hampton at Petrie Memorial Methodist Church’s 10:00 AM service on Sunday, March 1st
To also commemorate the week, FFA members are selling a limited number of t-shirts designed by the local organization. The shirts are $15 each.
