The Todd County Republican Party hosted a ‘Meet the Candidates’ event Monday night, giving residents a chance to connect with contenders ahead of the May primary.

Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District GOP Vice-Chairman and Trenton resident Frank Amaro hosted the event. Following comments from candidates, Amaro said the local political landscape has changed drastically in the last ten years.

Amaro added that this year’s election is very important.

During his comments, Amaro also saluted District 2 Magistrate Billy Bryant, the longest-standing Republican in Todd County. Bryant is not seeking re-election.

The audio recording from Monday night’s event can be found here:

Stories on the candidates will be shared in the coming days/weeks.
