An Elkton man was charged with drug possession after being arrested on a warrant on Wednesday morning.
Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say they arrested 47-year-old William Mosely on a warrant charging him with fraudulent use of a credit card and theft by unlawful taking after he was involved in a non-injury wreck on West Main Street.
Elkton Police say the warrant was issued after an investigation into Mosely using a credit card that was taken from an ATM on Monday to purchase scratch-off lottery tickets at a gas station in Elkton.
As he was being arrested, deputies say he turned over marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Deputies say that he then kicked a small bag of meth from his pants leg while at the Sheriff’s Office, then denied it.
Mosely was then also charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia
