Edna June Talley, 94, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Monday January 12, 2026, at her residence.
She was born on June 22, 1931, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Hubert F. Head and Minnie Lou Head. She was also preceded in death by her husband, B. Evans Talley in 2007, along with her sisters, Sue Kimbrough and Martha Grant.
Mrs. Talley was a graduate of Guthrie Kentucky High School and later Austin Peay State University in Clarksville.
After graduating, she worked as an elementary school teacher in Todd and Hopkins County until her retirement in 1991. June was a member of First Christian Church in Madisonville, where her passions were the choir and Christian Women’s Fellowship. She also served as an elder at the church.
She is survived by her children, Evans Talley of Madisonville, Marilyn Talley of Madisonville, Tim (Susan) Talley of Plano, TX, and Philip Talley of Murray, KY; grandchildren, Kyle Talley of Oaktown, IN and Hannah (Patrick) Talley Stone of Ft. Worth, TX; along with her nieces and nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Kara Foster officiating. Burial will take place at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Thursday at the funeral home.
