In a show of community support, WEKT and Haley Hardware and Rentals are continuing their partnership to collect heaters for neighbors in need this winter.
As of the close of business on Monday, Haley Hardware’s Katina Shanklin reported that over 20 heaters had been collected, with more support expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
All heaters will be donated to the Todd County PACS office and distributed in tandem with the CSBG program.
WEKT Marketing Specialist Caitlin Brooks noted that with the upcoming cold snap, the need for heating assistance among Todd County residents is more critical than ever.
Donations are being accepted at Haley Hardware and Rentals in Elkton through Wednesday morning. WEKT will host a second live broadcast on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM to help drum up additional support.
