Authorities reportedly went to an RV located on Stevens Road in Todd County to check the welfare of a child and found drugs inside on Wednesday morning.

Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say they were checking on a juvenile and could smell the odor of marijuana inside.

46-year-old Steven Mead reportedly gave deputies a marijuana joint while they were talking with him, leading to a search of the RV.

Deputies say multiple needles, a glass pipe, a digital scale, and a substance that tested positive for meth were all found with some items within reach of the child’s play pen.

The investigation led to the mother, 32-year-old Cierra Lock, and the child’s grandmother, 53-year-old Nikaletta Shadowen, being arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Deputies say Mead, who refused to follow deputies’ commands, had to be tased before being taken into custody and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, menacing, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
