A severe thunderstorm on Thursday evening knocked down power lines across a portion of southern Todd County.
Pennyrile Electric Vice-President of Member Services Brent Gilkey told Your WEKT News Edge that around five power poles were knocked down and had to be replaced. Portions of U.S. 41 and Kentucky 181 were closed to traffic as Pennyrile Electric crews worked to repair downed lines.
Both roadways were reopened early Friday morning.
